Creation residency
Inspired by the 80th anniversary of the creation of Olivier Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time , we have brought together a contemporary music ensemble (Ensemble Écoute), a young composer (Dahae Boo) and an audiovisual artist (Juan Ignacio Guerra) to create a multidisciplinary show. An immersive and reactive digital staging is implemented through the performance of three musical works: Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time, Tristan Murail's Stalag VIIIA and Dahae Boo's After the Time of Silence.
Video projections and live light creation play a fundamental role in the narration of this show and its integration in the space.
This work will give rise to two audiovisual pieces: a short film recounting the creative process, from the conception of the project to the premiere, as well as the recording and online broadcast of the concert. We hope that this material will enrich the archives of Meeting Point.
