"When I was little, Mum forbade me to play with fire, so now I like to play with electricity" - Philippe Petit

Philippe Petit is a sound craftsman who never stops experimenting by sculpting sound. He created Modulisme in 2019, the very first platform dedicated to the promotion of modular synthesis, open to some of the most prestigious composers in the genre.

This is a method of processing/creating sounds using a synthesizer made up of a set of independent modules, each of which fulfills a specific function: oscillator (VCO), filter (VCF), amplifier (VCA), envelope generator, effect, mixer...

The choice of modules and their interconnection is completely free, with the aim of pushing traditional patterns further. Modulisme currently offers some 200 hours of music.

For this DJ set, Philippe Petit presents a panel of creations proposed by the platform supporting cross-over electronic music and defending the use of analog instruments, the use of electricity to support a sound produced with musical intention.
